Links to Thrillers that will influence our Thriller

The Shining 

The suspense and build up towards the scene, then a sudden burst aggression, how i would incorporate this into the move would be giving a gradual buildup then a quick burst like the axe scene did for the Shining.

Psycho 

The split personality giving a subtle killer instead of a mask wearing murder, with a schizophrenic killer it gives an element of unpredictability not knowing when the change in personality would happen. What i would like to incorporate character unpredictability into the film to make the suspense and tension carry out throughout the film.

Reservoir Dogs

Based in one room with flashbacks and cuts to other characters focusing more on the characters than the job that just took place. I will incorporate from Reservoir dogs is the location types keeping it all down to one specific location having flashbacks and flash forwards to other places focusing on the two characters during the aftermath.

American psycho

The Psychological aspect unsure of how real the film is starting off with the film seeming real but then changing half way through giving a different look to it changing the theme and atmosphere of the movie. This can be incorporated because giving the techniques used in the film we can make it seem as though the characters are loosing track of reality. 

Scarface

The drug element giving the foundation of the film also the feeling of isolation the main character gets going throughout the film. The aspects that can be incorporated would be would be the theme of the movie the drugs and the feeling that the main character will loose common sense and loose faith in the people around him.

The Bourn Trilogy 

The modern setting gives the film a James Bond feel to it also the fact the main character is being watched  can give people a fear of open spaces and crowds and cause people to be paranoid. This will incorporate into our film because the main character can have a feeling of been watched causing him to become paranoid.
